Tint Magazine is an independently published magazine, created to "Celebrate Women of Every Color".
In 2008, Tint Magazine will be published bi-annually or quarterly, and in full color. It will be composed of the writing [both fiction and non-fiction] and artwork from a multitude of voices: young women from all walks of life, from all over the world.
The zine covers a variety of topics including issues of the mind, body, spirit, entertainment, culture, style, and real life.
Our Mission:
* To publish an independent magazine for and by bold young women.
* To speak to and celebrate young women of every color from around the world through culture, style, real life, mind, body, and spirit.
* To provide a voice for minority and underrepresented young women in innercity Detroit and beyond.
* To redefine the beauty and strength of young women by featuring and profiling real women.
* To recognize the importance of cultural, physical, and intellectual diversity.
* To promote global & self awareness, human rights, and tolerance.
* To cover a variety of topics from a progressive slant.
* To ensure career and empowerment opportunities for young women in the community.
* To establish and maintain positive relationships with like-minded organizations and businesses.
